Angalis Field
Angalis Field (he/him) is a writer-director and photographer living in New York City. He is currently an MFA thesis student in the Grad Film program at NYU Tisch ('23). He graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University ('16) with a B.A in English. His work embodies a new queer subjectivity in photography and film, combining intimacy and formalism to picture contemporary transness while questioning its cultural production.
Angalis' work has been featured in The New York Times, GQ, Artforum, OUT, Teen Vogue, Pitchfork, Cultured Magazine, etc. His directorial debut short "The Dalles" (distribution: Aspect Ratio) will premiere in 2023. He has another short and a feature in development.
